Some of the frustrated customers of Tata Indicom's Broadband Services have been vocal online about their problems of not having internet access and the misery of dealing with the "customer service" of this huge company.

These complaints can be found here...

and

and,

http://www.sandipb.net/blog/archives/2005/08/01/pathetic-tata-indicom-broadband-service-in-delhi/

which states:

"What I didn’t realize while taking the connection, was that Tata Indicom Broadband is just Dishnet DSL with a new name, and it comes with Dishnet DSL’s “renowed” or shall we say notorious service record. Right now, in my last five weeks of subscription, the line has been unusable for two - that makes it a 20% downtime!"

Then it is mentioned that Tata Broadband is now vsnl, which might explain why they use a vsnl e-mail address on their website.

So, what is happening here? People frustrated with Tata, with Sify, with Data One, and of course with the little guys.

On a personal note, I have had a bad experience with a local cable operator, but the service from Airtel was absolutely fantastic. Their customer service was first-rate.
